Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 17, 2026
takeft is a calling app for families. We try to collect as little as possible — only what is needed to actually place and receive calls. This page explains exactly what that is.
What we collect
- Account info: the email address used to sign in, and a name or nickname if provided.
- Contact links: the email addresses of family members you add as contacts, so we can route calls between you.
- Push tokens: a per-device identifier from Apple or Google so we can wake the phone when a call comes in.
- Call records: who called whom, when, and for how long. We do not record the audio of your calls.
What we don't collect
- We do not record, store, or listen to your calls. Audio is sent end-to-end between participants via our calling provider and is not retained on our servers.
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with advertisers.
- We do not embed third-party analytics or tracking SDKs to profile you.
Third parties we rely on
- Firebase Authentication (Google) — handles sign-in.
- Agora.io — provides the real-time voice connection during a call.
- Apple Push Notification service and Firebase Cloud Messaging — deliver the ring to your phone.
Data deletion
You can request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by emailing [email protected]. We will remove your account, contact links, and call history within 30 days.
Children
takeft is intended for adults. It is designed to be set up by an adult for use by themselves and their family members, including elderly parents. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page and, for material changes, notify you in the app.
